Dalat is such a strange but cool city. There's hardly any tourist but its so westernised. Everyone has style and theres many many phone and clothes shops. It's pretty cold here to be fair, I've been wearing my hoody (lowest 20c)..traveling struggles.
Went on a 'Easy Rider' countryside motorcycle tour..it was class! Hitting around 80mph on one main strip of road, was insane! Out tour guides were funny. I asked one of them if he wished to visit England and he said he can't because he's in prison (huh?), he meant he's married haha. We treated them to some Weasel coffee which is another story of its own, we felt like we needed to treat them as it cost 60,000 dong for one cup of coffee and they only earn 250,000 a day (£7.30).
We drove around all the countrysides and stopped off at the Elephant waterfall, a pagoda, K'oh people village, vegetable/ mushroom/ flower/ coffee farms and silk factory. Got to try all kinds of stuff throughout the day, bugs, rice wine (60% alcohol), weasel coffee.
To cut a long story short, they have weasel farms so that they can feed them coffee beans so that when they s*** them through they use the beans to make weasel coffee. I'm no coffee connoisseur but it actually tasted really nice!
Had dog for dinner and cost only a £1, wasn't too bad, just really fatty, bit like pork! However the restaurant was full of only locals and they all smiled, offered us rice wine as we walked in. I think they were a little shocked foreigners (it's what they call us) were in there having dog. We was advised to go here by our tour guide.
