On the map, Tulum seems a small town but when your there it's much larger than anticipated. Cool town though with some great street food. Things to do here are the Cenotes which are deep natural wells or sinkhole. They are formed by the collapse of surface limestone and are used by ancient Mayans for offerings. Boarded a local bus called Collectivo for £2 to Playa De Carmen. All three of our perception of Playa is it's a quite place with a nice beach. When we arrived, it shocked us. There was this huge strip full of really cool restaurants, bars and shops. Was not expecting that at all because during the day it seemed nothing was going on. However, as soon as it got dark, the whole town woke up! Only stayed one night as it was more of a stop over to get to Tulum. Play...
