Yeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaa Good news and Bad news!!
Well the Bad news is were leaving OZ but the Good news is WERE GOING TO NEW ZEALAND!! Come on! Wooooooooo Hooooooooo!!!
Right were have we been, what have we seen!! We left Magnetic Island and travelled to mission beach were we got dropped of at a little old place called Scotty's which was a barrell of laughs and right on the beach, Mission beach itself wasn't as nice as it was made out to be, well so we thought anyway! But thats probably because, for 1 we had been to whitehaven which was possible heaven on earth!! and for 2 we really wanted to do a sky dive and mission beach was supposed to be the place to do it, as on the way down you see the great barrier reef and spectacular views but the weather wasn't great and we need to save our money for some wacky things in Newzealand, so we decided not too! (And maybe wont anyway Kay due to money!) We stayed at Scotty's for 2 nights and generally just chilled out. We did on the other hand eat our first bit of Kangeroo, yes KANGEROO!! It was Scrumdiddleyumptious, eaten almost rare as kangeroo is really tough if overcooked. We also watched a film when the weather was bad but was nice to actually put our feet up, plus finding nemo was very appropriate as our next stop was Cairns were we planned to scuba dive on the Great barrier Reef! Oh did I mention a left my driving lience at Scotty's too, so now have to get it posted to somewhere in New Zealand and pick it up on our travels! DOH!!
We left Scottys to head for Cairns and on the way we stopped at MAD MICKS CROCODILE FARM!! YEEHA Gonna catch me a Croc! We was totally amazed by the way they controlled their Crocs with garden rakes and let the crocs right out the gates were we was all standing, we were no further than a metre away it was so cool! 'Look at though's snappers Ralph'! (Sorry just quoting a quote from the film 'Romance in the stone') The main man Mad Mick litterally sat on the biggesst fattest Croc we have ever seen and told us stories about his crocs and showed us his many Croc scar wounds!! After a croc tour we got to hold all sorts of snakes and small crocs and alligators which was totally wicked, well I thought so, Jemeela quivered a bit but was convinced by one of the rangers to hold the phython, after he just hung it round her neck without her concent really but she was pleased she got to hold one. As you can see by the pictures we held a mini croc too. As you all know im generally not the quietest person and wearing my mick dundee hat too I always get singled out and drag Jemeela down with me!! We got told to stand up on the table while I was holding the big Phython and the ranger wanted to know if i wanted to feel like a real Aussie, in my Aussie hat? So he then manouvered the snake down my T-Shirt so his head was hanging out of the bottom and I had to grab it and make it look like,........ well you know.................. use your imagination!! Everybody laughing there heads off. I thought that wasn't too bad, thinking he was going to do something really bad to us when he the stuffed the head of the scary, big teethed, venomous PYTHON!! Down my PANTS!!! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Then asked Jemeela to get it out!! After loads of persuasion and me shouting and shouting just get it out! with a few added swear words and a bricking it tone of voice she finally did! Feeeeeeeeeww. We also sore lots of other things like more Roo's and the famous Cassowarys which is a tall bird a bit like an emu but more rare and can be very vicious so we got told.
Back on the bus and on to Cairns, we arrived at Calypso our hostel for our last three days in OZ. The hostel is probably the best one we stayed in and very friendly atmosphere, great food and not to far from the town.
Jon has wimped out of writing the blog and needs a cigarette so if anyone notices the marked improvement in spelling you know why!!
So he tells me I must write about our adventure on the Great Barrier Reef yesterday - what fun we had!! A very early start (especially for me who was chinwagging with the girls in England at 5am and wishing Ellen a very happy birthday) we set off to check in for the boat which we were told was a luxury liner - ha! The boat was big but smelly and very uncomfortable! The weather has not been great in cairns but we decided we would kick ourselves if we didn't take the opportunity of visiting one of the 7 wonders. So off we went with our seasick tablets in hand..........I have just been told we are leaving for the airport early so I will try to finish this at the airport or in New Zealand. Sorry people, lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxx

Howdee doodee! Its me again, yes I know you was proberly looking forward to Jemeela's great tales and perfect punctuation and spelling! But you'll just have to deal with just great tales from me!
Were was we, oh yes sickness pills, well it was a good job we had some plus plenty of ginger tablets to settle our tummys too! With 25-30 knotts wind and enormous waves crashing over the sides, we hung on in fear of our lives and hoping we make it unscaved! Fortunetly we made it in one piece but unfortunate for some who now have empty stomachs and blue faces!! We all got ready and psyched up for an adventure to the unknown deep and dangerous waters of the Great Barrier Reef where many Fish and Marine life swam in hope they would surrvive another day or night in there poisonous and Savage shark infested waters!!!
Hans and I got kitted up in our scuba diving gear while Sara and Jemeela put on there snorkeling gear! After a few lessons on what to do and what not to do, basically if you want to live breath as normal, dont panic and remember how to do the manouvers they showed us! We went down about 10 metres and sore many types of fish and all sorts of coral it was out of this world we had so much fun apart from as soon as we was down there the instructer just left us and at one point I was stranded along just waiting and imagining beeing fish food!!! But Hans turned up and we swam down further and took some amazing photos and videos of us on the bottom of the reef, so cool.
We emerged on the suface after 30 mins of adventure and new discovery for the both of us Alive and well, it was actually such a good experience and i will definetely do it again, but not fora while so ill have to stick to the bath and me rubber ducky as we have plenty of other stuff to do on our travels! We joined the girls on there snorkeling and actually see a lot more fish close to the surface as they were feeding them so they all clustered round in large schools it was amazing! We rented a quality under water camera so we could get the best shots and have lots of great pics of us all and we were so pleased we did but when we got back to shore and took the camera back to the shop to burn some cds we was yet to find that the memory chip had died and wiped all of our whole experience off the chip, b*****! Needless to say we were pretty disappointed as we had worked really hard to get good photos especially ones with us in.
Had a great last evenin and a lovely dinner with Sara and Hans and said goodbye to them for a month and Australia for who knows how long!!
New Zealand here we come!!!! Yeeehaaaaa!!!!!
