Day 4 sees us Off on a bus and walk adventure to the great Vancouver icon Stanley park. We leave the unit and straight for our favourite coffee shop the Birds &Beets ,have our usual and go for the that will drop us the park . It is a two part day with exploring the parK during the day and in the evening going to a modern version of thr Shakespearian play " Much ado about Nothing".
The bus drops us at the 2nd stop in the park and it is from here our adventure begins. Our plan find the sea wall and follow that ,so with map in hand we begin , fantastic both of us reading the map and not one spat amazing,as we normally both like to lead. There's the Seawall! we follow it and think how great it is that so many people either on bikes ,walking ,roller blades or in cars use this park, but there is room for all as the park is 1000acres square. Back to our walk, this Seawall get a bit boring so it now time to off road hike through the interior following only the trails set long ago and our gut instinct we make our to remote place such as the beaver lake , that's right I went looking for Beaver but alas their were none to be found, the lost logo on, the light house ,the cricket and rugby oval, and then we set our weiry legs a course to the nearest refreshing drink and food place which we found over at third beach . Food good service good. Now we start the next part of this day night adventure after walking all morning we going to walk to a ferry that no one can actually tell where it is, " it just down there ,over near the bridge , you are close, just keep on walking you're nearly there, what started out as a 15 minute was achieved 1hour later . On the ferry to other side we arrive at the night time venue which was the play at Bard on the Beach Shakespeare festival section 5 row F seats 56&57 prime spots near the front ,nothing stopping our view, perfect ,what an organiser I have. This probably is the best modern version of a Shakespeare's play I've seen.
It was very ,very entertaining. When the finished the meal was served again very good and of course we were able make new friend who live Victoria.two of which were teachers in distance education for learning difficulties so we hit right off . Then come the amazing firework show which part of a competion between countries when the night was over we exchange our cards head for the bus but there were thousand and more thousand of people so we decide to walk home ,probably not our smartest idea but you get that after a bottle Pinot Gre. Arrived home 12.30am so again I've written this the next day.
See you all tomorrow ,today is a moving day , tomorrow the Rocky Mountaineerlove you all
