Day 30
The day started as a nice slow relaxing day , a bit of shopping ,doing the washing ,a reindeer hotdog and a glass of wine. Then at 2.45 it all changed. The white water rafting company were here to pick us up. Down the road 500 meters , into the office,Sign indemnity form, get into our wet weather all dry clothes, back in the bus , down to the rubber raft drop point, walk down the ramp and stop.
Before you can put a foot in the raft everyone must go a 15 point safety check, similar to plane, once this over it's let's get going. We were not to be rower so we were rowed down the 14mile stretch of river with real rapids churning ,throwing water into the air ,at times throwing it all over us it was exciting ,who would imagine getting dowse with water could be so much fun.
The adventure took 3hrs from go to woe,the scenery down the river was spectacular, the different colours of the water , the rock formation, the colours of the tree changing for the autumn, all this while around us the peaceful of the wilderness cried out shhh.
I am regret to say in that whole journey no moose ,wolf or brown bear were spotted but a beaver was by Chaz our guide and Karen and Balty. Tomorrow we drive through the Denalli National Park and most we spoken to say there is a good chance we will see two of our missing tick offs, that would be good
So all again we come to the end of another adventure ,one Shirley and I enjoyed tremendously.
So come on the bears tomorrow , hope you all cheer them on, and we will see tomorrow.
Love Shirley & John
