Greetings from New York!
We've had a great few days staying in Chelsea, Manhatten. Chelsea is a really nice neighbourhood, lovely brown stone houses covered in fire escapes and ivy. We have done everything we could that was free in order to extend beer money - staten island ferry to see Lady Liberty, Central Park, top to bottom, and a good amount of walking around soaking it all in. We also met Rob for some lovely cocktails at the top of a posh hotel which wasn't free but was very nice indeed!!
Some things we have heard along the way...
Two men talking in West village: "The problem is that when you put your house on the market for 5 million everybody does and then sure enough you've got loads of 5 million houses"
70+ old lady in central park: "I've just started a photography course, my mother always said I was a late bloomer"
John to Waitress: "Please can we have the same again?" Waitress to John (without missing a beat): "So just to check, you want the same again?"

Sarah Ward Hello!! (It's Beverley's daughter...) Love this post! New York is one of my favourite Cities...we (Mum, Liz and me) went back in December 2005 to celebrate Lizzie's 21st and we all fell in love with it! Sounds like you had a lovely time over there! Ann Slade gave the blog address to my Mum, and she's passed it on to me...I love following people's amazing travels...so hope you don't mind :) I'm hoping to do some travelling over the next few years...if I can stretch my student budget a bit! Hope you're having a great time in Singapore now :) Love Sarah x
