greetings from the sun.....

aaaaahhhhh bliss. its stopped raining and its scorching! Just a quick update to fill you in on the start of my last week in Thailand (she sobs in her sleeve). So after my disastrous day to Koh samui i ended up staying another day in the hotel! So in the morning i thought.... hmmm bikini bottoms are always a good idea. wouldnt want to scare the kids now! so off i trotted witha gammy leg (muscular pain) so english white woman hobbling down the street caused a little stir and people laughing. So off on my hunt for bikini bottoms, no luck! so i back track down the beach. remembering i had seen a tailors at my hotel. so off i trotted. I spoke to the lady and made it clear i only wanted the bottoms. do you understand... yes only the bottoms.... you sure.... yes only the bottoms! excellent! she was going to make them i was going to pick them up in the morning! so I went a put a pair of black knickers on and hoped no one looked close enough to see the white elastic going see through at the back. Im travelling on 4 pants! lots of washing, resulted in not much fabric left hehe!

so spent the day on the beach, ahhhhh bliss! Then had yet another superb meal and went to bed early! was so nice. next morning packed, so excited to pick up my bikini bottoms! so off i trot. she had done a pretty damn good job at copying the bikini bra!!!!! ahahahahahaha. i started laughing in the shop and said thanks very much and paid the lady! was funny as....... so i tried on the bra thinking ok well i have 2 bikni tops and no bottoms! However i dont normally like to have my breasts as a fashion accessory for my belt, so it went in the bin! got to giggle!

The minibus picked me up and took me to the pier, en route i spied a small shop selling beach wear about half a mile back. so in the searing mid day heat i put my pack on my back and trotted off down the road.... i was determined for those bikini bottoms and nothing was going to stop me now! so i went in and she had a pair, the insulting part was that she needed to pull the XL out..... im putting it down to thai people have small bottoms. not used to us english curvy bells hehe. so one sweaty happy jo trotted off down the road waving her bikini bottoms madly around her head until someone asked what i was doing! oh dear!

so on the ferry, super delux got off at koh tao, seems small and busy. lots of backpackers/ internet cafes/ bars etc. seemed good fun. the frenchies were staying so i got a place near to them. was releaved to put my bag down. however the room i had was uuuuummmmm slightly basic! i think i was pretty lucky i didnt have a cockroach to be honest. so out of there sharpish i went and found the david hasselhoff shorts of erwan (the frenchies) and spent a couple of hours on the beach. the waters here are crystal and so warm..... lovely! so i then decided to go for a mini walk and find a nice hotel!!! im off there in a min to see if they have a room! (please please please have a room). Then we all grabbed a couple of beers and watched the sun set from their bungalow (on the water) listening to french reggae music! was fun! and very entertaining!

We set off for something to eat, and found a great indian rest overlooking the sea with a bar in front! one of the best indians iv ever had! there was such a vibrant atmosphere and there were guys with flame throwers putting on a show! cant wait to upload the picces! got some crackers! so after a good dent in the rum bottle i thought i was drunk enough to pass out in my bungalow so i didnt have to think about what i was sleeping in! hehe it worked

This morning, i woke up early and was the only the person on the beach, walked along, was beautiful. no one was up, found a great place that served good coffee and peanut butter on toast WOW!!!!

so not sure what today will bring but i can guarantee it will include bikini bottoms
