It is Tuesday morning, and Ali and I leave for Panama City, Panama today. we have a long day of traveling with a 3 hour layover in Dallas today. The plane flight leaves at 12:25PM to Dallas, and we will eventually arrive in PCP around 9:55PM tonight.
The last few days have been busy. Ali and I just finished packing last night. I am sure we have forgotten a few select important items, but procrastination is what I do... I actually went to this thing called a library the other day. Remember those? I decided to try and save a few dollars by checking out books for the trip, rather than buy them. Ironically, there is a library less than a mile from my house, and I had never been. Another tip, there are 34 libraries in Fulton county alone. Since Ali is an English teacher, you think I would know these things.
The only book I found was Vodka by Boris Starling. This book is set immediately after the fall of communism in mafia controlled Russia. Americans and foreign businessman are coming in to help privatize many of the former government operations. the book revolves around an American businessman's attempt to help privatize one of the largest Vodka distilleries in Russia which is now controlled by the Russian mafia. I will let you know if it is worth reading.
Off to the airport in 30 minutes! I will try to blog once a day.
