Jim's Camino for Wilai and Friends
Photo 2 of 4
Madame of the Cathedral in l’Adour
Madame sits in a little room off to the left in the darkened Cathedral, smiles with a warm female equivalent of an avuncular one, happily stamps one’s Credencial ( Camino passport of the Pilgrim) and offers a biscuit and coloured water. Where is the Priest, I ask- on holidays was the reply. But she is there every day to welcome the pilgrim.

Noelene Lynette Donovan Oh dear Jim, what a remarkable journey you are taking and the people you are meeting and the photographs you are taking. I am in awe of what you have achieved - and just hope your trusty little stick and your kneecaps are bearing up -not forgetting your pieds! and your sense of adventure!!!
Caroline Matthews Jim, I have just walked the Camino the easy way and had a smile on my face the whole time. After wondering where you were I have caught up in the last hour or so. What a great experience and to have done it twice with no injuries. It was good fun,I loved the photo of the cows in the barn. In the early 60's I travelled with friends around Europe and saw this happening in the winter in Switzerland. Can't imagine what it is like but the relief when Spring arrives would bring a smile to anyones face. I noted that you are spending a month on retreat--we must catch up when you return. Is this retreat a silent one? at least you will get a rest from the blog. I am most impressed--well done, Caroline.
