Thursday, Feb. 4, 2009 Today Liz and I went to Ueno Park, which houses many of their national museums and a few shrines. The best was a small museum that showed how they lived about 100 years ago. Liz and I arrived in Japan yesterday after our long 13 hour flight, which was made even longer after a 1 and a half hour delay before leaving Detroit. Someone hadn't show up to board the plane and they had to find and remove his luggage. Toward the end of the flight we hit about 2 hrs of pretty bad turbulence.
