What a send off so far. Can't believe after all those months of planning its actually here. Literally over a year ago.. Thinking about it, before we had even decided to drive across America last year, we had already decided then that we wanted to go to South America. Now, finally, everything has fallen into place. After all the flights, bookings, research, sabbaticals, jobs and goodbyes its here. No matter how far ahead you plan things they eventually come round and I really feel overwhelmed by the fact that I need to make the most of this experience and I want to treasure every moment.

We arrived at Arora International Hotel and straight away knew it be a nice, but short, stay. My parents parked up and I was so glad they both said they would stay for dinner. We had such a nice meal at the hotel restaurant (smiths) ordering burger and risotto between us. It was hard to say goodbye but we will be back in a flash I'm sure. I'm really glad we had a few really good nights out with the majority of our friends and I was so thankful to all those that made it out. I will surely miss Stratford.

This hotel is awesome, they sent the funniest little man up to our room to open mine and nicki's celebratory prosecco, he was so awkward. Then he left and came back 5 minutes later asking if we wanted to keep the cork. Haha.

Only remembered one thing I've forgotten so far so hopefully it stays that way but literally I'm so excited I can't sleep.. The only extra thing I think I need to buy is a new razor as just had the worst shave ever with the new one I just bought!

Anyway certainly need to get to bed now as I've booked a wake up call at 4am and only finished my shower at 12:30am. Ooops!

Ahh the excitement. Falling asleep now listening to Arcade Fire, Beach Fossils and Noah and The Whale. The beds so comfy! Just left wondering if we should rush and get the bus and train tomorrow morning or take it easy and get a taxi. Hmm

Can't wait for this trip regardless!
