Finaly a computer that wont blow up half way through writing this blog (fingers crossed).
Prague was one stop that I had always wanted to go, luckily it was one stop Ben, Chris, Nathan and Pete wanted to visit as well. The situation at this point was 5 boys 1 car and 4 countries, the Czech Rebuplic was now our 4th country and Prague was our 7th city. We left from Budapest in Hungary with myself behind the wheel, averaging 180KM/H most of the way, gotta love European Freeways. We arrived at the Mosaic House Hostel in good time, so we seized what day light we had left and had a walk around the city. The architechture and city layout was very similar to Budapest, absaloutly amazing and full of History, Huge Churches a bizare looking clock tower and a very impressive castle up on the hill. We continued all the way to the north of the city and found a park up a hill overlooking the city, here we watched the sunset and drank some of the best beer I have ever had. So far then Prague was hitting it as one of the best places I have been, until I woke up the next day.
The boys and I got up nice and early to watch the second round of the AFL grand Final, I was not in the best state with a huge hangover and about 2 hours sleep, I had to call it early and go to bed. I woke up a few hours later and went to grab my laptop but it wasn't where I left it, so I went down stairs to see if any of the boys had borrowed it, none of them had even seen it. I went back up stairs to double check, then I realised "yep we have definetly been robbed". I told the other boys who then discovered they had things missing as well, Laptops, Phones and Ipods gone. We told reception who followed up by looking at security tapes and calling the police, oh and giving us some free drinks. Apparently a Slovakian man had gotten into our room and taken our possessions, on the security footage he came down every 5 minutes to make sure we were still sitting watching the football. The Police came did our police reports and we got drunk.
With all that had happened we didn't get our hopes down and went out to have a drink that night. We went to a bar that had its own beer taps on the tables, and a projector screen with a list of who had drunk the most from top to bottom, good initiative to drink I say. Even though I was keen to go out and wash away the last 24 hours from my mind, I had to be sober the next day to pick up the official police report for my Insurance. I left my camera with Ben and Nathan and went back to the hostel for some sleep, lets just say those photos the boys had taken on my camera wont be making facebook.
Next stop Munich again for the closing day of Oktoberfest!
