Today I met Sophie,the sister of the child's mum I was nannying for in England, in manly and she drove me up the coast on a tour of the northern beaches, she took me to Dee Why, Whale beach and Palm beach - where home and away is filmed ;) all the beaches were beautiful even the ones we drove past on the way only made better by the fact it was 27 degrees and sunny! It's New Year's Eve!! So I was talking to my family and they let me go off early to get a spot for New Years! At 5pm I left and went to milsons point right by the bridge on the north side. I had a great view of the bridge and opera house surprisingly as I thought I wouldn't get anywhere near it. So I sat down for 7hours waiting to see the spectacular fireworks. Stupidly I didn't bring a picnic rug or coat or even wear trousers so I was shivering for 7hours sittin...

Boxing Day was 10 times better, the sun was shining and I was feeling a hell of a lot better we all went to the cinema to watch anchorman 2 which was incredibly funny. Then we came back home where I finally got to eat my Christmas dinner, some pavlova, brownies, tiramisu trifle oh and then a homemade turkey curry in the evening. So it's Christmas a time to celebrate..or in my as be ill all day and not even be able to eat my Christmas turkey :( and yet I still enjoyed it as I spent it with some good friends who not only looked after me but made an excellent dinner as well so all was not lost. But unfortunately we also weren't able to I to bondi because it was raining all day!

Today I took the boys (Alex and dale) to Balmoral beach which I had also not been too. We had a lovely day in the sun catching some rays ;) The next day I took Alex and dale (Liz's brother and his friend) around Sydney and showed them all the Sydney sites. We sat down near on the grass with a beautiful view of the opera house and dale unpacked some sausage sandwiches which I was pleasantly surprised by, especially as he put ketchup in - gold star for dale.
