Don't ask me why i thought going to Charleston on the hottest day of the year would be a good idea.. but the evening before it all seemed like a great idea... lol Then again going to Charleston to see the historically important city was something i was interested in so why not..
we did ask how hot it was outside and i think a few said that it was around 104 just saying it really felt like it too... But we still went there and i dont regret it at all.. we walked in the slave market.. well its not a slave market anymore but still a marketplace... lots of crafting.. handmade and homemade stuff... most fascinating was the baskets made of grass.. (see picture) i saw when a few older woman and men was making them.. too bad i couldn't buy one of them and get one home with me... didn't think i could get them home without break them... maybe next time..
we continued to walk around in Charleston, along the rainbow road. a Road were all the houses was different colors, looked pretty nice.. and expensive we did lots of walking and i even felt sorry for the poor horses that was dragging the tourist around in Charleston in that heat... they didn't look like they enjoyed it at all.. their head were hanging and they really looked sad...
After we had seen Charleston we drove back to Georgetown, but we did stop to get some dinner... at IHOP.. and yummmy it was soooo goood.. thanks for the tip Rob.. i owe you one.. LOL
Later that evening we went to see a Baseball game... first time i have ever seen that in RL... was a bit confusing at first but soon enough after picking all brains i think i got a hang of it.. Cathy and Jordan kept answering my sometimes silly questions.. but then again no questions are silly once besides those not asked.. so i kept asking.. too bad our Team didn't win.. but at least i got a signed baseball from it and when Joshua gets really famous and really good... (he already is good) i will have a ball he signed..
