6/26 Fist Pump!

Another day in Jersey started off pretty late, which was okay by me. Tom had decided to not show up to his morning shift because he had made me a promise: to take me to the Jersey Shore house! Well, I guess he also just didn't feel like working that day.

We got ready in the early afternoon and took a drive along the beach to pick up Tom's friend Ian. The traffic was atrocious but it gave me a chance to check out the awesome multi-million dollar homes across the street from the beach. I was very pleasantly surprised at how nice the homes were! We made a quick stopover at a place called Windmill for breakfast (at 2 in the afternoon!) where I had an aaaaaamazing cheesy hot dog and cheesy fries.

We brought our lunch to Ian's house and walked with Ian and his friend Liz to a bar/restaurant near the beach. I was very happy with my vodka Red Bull. After lunch, Liz left and Tom, Ian and I made our 30+ minute journey to Seaside Heights to see the Jersey Shore house!

As we started our drive through the city, I started to realize the Seaside Heights boardwalk was a lot like a permanent carnival... There were flashy lights, fried foods, people dressed like hookers, and everyone just looked like they needed a bath.

As we pull up near the Jersey Shore house, the excitement is almost too much to take! I saw a huge group of people standing in the street near the house because, as my luck would have it, the cast had just arrived and were taking their luggage from their cars to the house! Ian and I jumped out of the car while Tom went to find parking. He was also clearly not as excited as I was.

We get in the big mess of people who are shouting and cheering for all of the cast members. I start snapping pictures of the guys going up and down the stairs with suitcase after suitcase. I'm not gonna lie, as someone who gets super star struck, I was ecstatic at what was going on before my very eyes!

We hung out for a few minutes until Tom met up with us and the cast all went inside. Afterwards, we made our way to the Boardwalk to visit the Shore Store- the T-shirt shop where the cast works. I, of course, bought a shirt and Ian bought 2. Tom definitely wasn't going anything.

After taking some pics inside and outside the store, we walked up and down the boardwalk, stopping for a drink, salt water taffy, and to play a game. We then made our way down the street to a club called Karma where the Jersey Shore cast frequently gets drunk and gets in fights. After completing our tour and seeing enough freaky people, we decided to head back home. On the way, I had to stop to get my passport pictures taken at a CVS. We dropped Ian off and headed back to Tom's house.

I spent the rest of the evening printing and filling out passport paperwork. By about 2 AM, I decided it might be a good idea to go to bed since getting up at 4 AM the next day was gonna suck!!
