We got up early enough on Saturday morning to have one last breakfast in our friendly restaurant and even managed to get on the earlier ferry! Despite our difficult arrival in Morocco we were all actually quite sad to be leaving! The security going out was pretty tight, even to the point of putting the car through a giant x-ray machine but we got through and had a smooth crossing sat on deck!
When we went through customs at Algeciras, the officer asked us what we were carrying, then promptly winked at us and said 'just personal belongings hey' you wouldn't believe the treasures people bring back from Morocco...its easier not to know! Fare enoughsky!
The drive to Seville was quite quick and easy but it was like driving into an oven and the last reading on the car was 45 degrees!
We found our apartment easily and it was lovely plus it was air conditioned, thank you Ella!!! We stocked up on dinner goodies and were settled for the evening! Even had wine which went down very nicely!!
Next day, we were determined to see Seville without roasting! We were very close to the River so we opted for an hour's river cruise first thing! It was lovely and cool under the canopy but you didn't really see a lot! We got off where we had started, ate our packed lunch in the shade by the River and then decided on a Horse and carriage ride to see the rest!
The chap who took us had obviously learnt his selling pitch in English but as we started on our tour his commentary converted to Spanish which got quicker and quicker and impossible to understand! Hence, we saw some lovely places in a lovely way, but couldn't tell you what any of them were!
It was a super way to see what we could in a day! It got hotter as the day went on and luckily we found a taxi driver who was prepared to overlook little loubie (As there laws strictly prevent no more than 4 peeps) so we got home quickly to our beloved air con!
Lovely dins with my lovelies chatting and laughimg about our adventures so far!
