Highlights galore & ch ch ch changes!I've now been in Laos for a week and completely utterly love it here! I don't want to leave but unfortunately I have to, tomorrow! We were finally let out of China and crossed the boarder heading towards Luang Prabang, a UNESCO city. But some strange stroke of luck we ended up taking a 130K detour (trust me it was a stroke of luck) because we some how ended up at the port on the Mekong for boats to Luang Prabang. Genius! ...

Stuck in ChinaIt's been an eventful few days. We left Dali expecting it to take us one day to get to the boarder. How wrong we were, I'm not quite sure how we expected to travel 1000K in one day but hey ho. It ended up taking us four days to drive to the last town in China which is where I am now. The last day driving was particularly poo. I got up at 5.30am and packed up my tent in the rain, then got on the truck, as we were pulling away from our mud field camps...

DJ Stu, Landslides, Egg&Tomato and Fancy DressSo....... Lhasa...off we all headed to Tang Club (no lie it was called Tang) and Stuey rocked the place! We turned up and they were playing some rather slow Chinese pop (think backstreets boys Chinese style) and I was a tad worried that the floor would clear apart from us when Stuey sped things up but the locals loved it too, the floor was rammed! Stuey played for about an hour and a half and he was in his element...

My feet are too big!We've been in China for almost a week and so far it's been a mixture of feelings. Coming into the country was fairly easy (apart from when they decided to fully investigate Ave's passport, apparently one of the bars was broken.) However once we were over the other side of the customs etc we couldn't continue over the pass due to the road being closed till 1am! So we had to wait until they had finished blowing up the road before we drove precar...
