Pushkar is interesting for three main reasons: it is one of the most significant pilgrimage sites in India, it is in or just on the edge of the desert, and it is completely unlike the rest of India. Hi kids, Well we arrived in Jaipur from Agra on the train. Bit of an odd train- people just walking up and down the carriage staring at us and what we would call a transvestite (the man opposite described them as 'middle-men') coming up and trying to talk to us in hindi and the man across saying he was a policeman so they went away.. Apparently kids are kidnapped and castrated and because homosexuality is largely frowed upon here, transvesites and trans-gendered...

Ey up me heartys! Jenferoos here! Well Agra was very nice. And the Taj Mahal was very big and white so thats all you need to know really.. We arrived there after a 45 hour train journey from the south so we were a bit knackered. We got a hostel quite easily (which our guide book suggested has quite a good view of the Taj..) so we jumped up to the rooftop to have a look. What a view we had! Gorgeous! So, we got our dinner and watched the sunset with the call to ...
