Well, I left Colshy to writre this one and now we're 2 places on and he's still not done it! Men! So, im doing it right now before we forget all our hilarious anecdotes. Wether he likes it or not.
Well Jodhpur was one of my favourite places so far, which is lucky because we ended up having to stay for nearly 2 weeks because....get this... Colin stood on my toe, TWICE (the first time in order to aid a hilarious story about once standing on a girls foot) and I ended up having to go to an Indian hospital because it was so sore! It didnt help that our guesthouse couldnt be reached by car and was on the top of an absolutely massive, steep, narrow hill.. Happy days. Anyway, 3 kinds of drug later and a couple of days in bed watching VH1 and I was as fit as a fiddle again.
Jodpur was great. Lots of wee narrow streets selling everything you can think of. The strangest was a shop that appeared to be empty except for a pair of skis attached to the wall.. I dont know if they were for sale or just for decoration..
It's called the blue city because most of the buildings are painted blue. Hmm, that fact appeared to be much more interesting in my head. Erm.. other facts: It has a fort that was like an ACTUAL tourist site, complete with audio guide and GIFT SHOP. Love it. It also had a rather nice hospital..(?) Ok, I admit it, I have no stories from Jodhpur at all other than stories about how sore my toe was but I dont think thats very good reading.
Oooh - animal story! A wee shrew type thing came to say hello one night when we were eating. That was nice.
Also, all the shop owners closed their doors for a day in protest at the increasing price of stuff.. all power to them and that but it was seriously annoying when you fancied a packet of crisps..
I'm starting to wish i'd let Colshy write this one afterall.
Erm... BYE! xxx
