g'day from australia (sorry couldnt resist!!) arrived in Sydney on saturday morning.

spent 5 nights in sydney. is a really cool city but i was sick and it was very cold so i could have enjoyed it more! i did mainly the touristy bits while i was there, went to the aqaurium, spent some time at darling harbour and went whale watching from there. was amazing to see the humpback whales so close, marine laws say you have to stay 100mts away from the whales but if they get curious and come to you thats ok, and they did. they were so beautiful and they even displayed some breaching for us (bringing their tails right aout of the water). so amazing :)

spent a day wandering around the harbour bridge area, went to a couple of museums and walked up to the harbour bridge before going to the opera house. right next to the opera house there is sydney botanical gardens which are really pretty with some great views across the harbour. and i saw a kangaroo!! ok so it was dead in the harbour but it still counts hahaha!!

went to bondi beach but the weather was a bit cold for swimming or surfing so i did the 2 hour cliff top walk from bondi to coogee, which had some amzing views and i spent a nice 15 minutes watching a seal play in the surf :) .
