Lake Tekapo On our way to Christchurch we had a nights stop in Lake Tekapo. This lake is situated beside Mt. Cook and is an incredible bright turquoise colour. Franz Joseph The drive to Franz Joseph was beautiful, it included another stop for a walk to Mirror Lake, a lake so still and smooth that the snow topped mountains are perfectly reflected on its surface.
