Dec 27: We took a taxi with Danielle and Adam and dropped them at the airport before continuing to our hotel at Candolim beach in North Goa. Our room is nice and clean and we have a nice pool here. We are set back from the bustling nain street so its nice and quiet. We met up with Dan and went for lunch. We tried to get a cab up to Sunburn but they all wanted 1500Rs because of the bad traffic. Just as I was discussing options with a taxi we noticed a free shuttle bus and we ran to hail it. We were the only ones on it! We were so happy as we entered the festival grounds.There were 7 stages and they all looked amazing. From most places you could see the ocean, we were in somewhat of a cliff overlooking the beach. We all wore our Canada flags as capes and lots of people loved them! We bumped into some cool Aussies and they brought us to the Absolut tent where we got wristbands that got us unlimited drinks! We all partied and had lots of fun living like VIP's. The shows were all awesome and we met up with our Absolut hookup after the last show. We were trying to avoid an Indian guy from London. Originally we tried to include him in our group since he was alone, but then he got annoying and was impossible to get rid of. At one point the 3 of us formulated a plan to lose him. First, Dan went to "the bathroom" and actually snuck up the hill to sit with the Aussies. I followed shortly after and we both watched as Aaron tried to duck out. He ended up just running into the crowd in the opposite direction of me and Dan. The clinger literally ran through the Absolut tent to see where he went. Aaron then bumped into him and said that he wasnt feeling well so he just had to run... Haha, quite a story. Anyways, Aaron finally lost him but it didnt last long as he met up with us when we went back to the Absolut tent to meet our hookup Suzy. She was the one who got us the wristbands. We all went bar-hopping until around 3am.
Dec 28: Aaron woke up feeling exceptionally rusty this morning. I took care of lil baby Aaron all day. We both spent time in the room and later at the pool as he was feeling a little bit better. In the evening we went to the Supersonic festival. We didnt drink but still enjoyed ourselves as some of our favourite DJ's were playing. On the walk home we stopped for a late dinner at an authentic Italian restaurant. Aaron was craving pizza and this was just the place. We had a really nice woodoven pizza and a safe salad. It was so nice to have some raw vegetables.
Dec 29: We lounged at the pool for most of the day and then went to the last day of Sunburn. The 3 of us wore our Canadian flag capes again and got stopped by so many people for pictures. At one point we stopped by the redbull tent and paid the guy under the table for a drink. He took a real liking to me and tried to touch my boob when we all took a group photo. I grabbed his hand and held it away from me. It wasnt done in an aggressive way so I chose to take a calm approach with things. After he did it again I was firmer and Aaron did his best Walter White impression and told him to tread lightly. He ended up pouring me a very very strong vodka and redbull so it all turned out ok. After the festival however, we were walking down a busy street to get food and an Indian guy decided to touch my upper thigh as we walked past eachother. He chose a bad time to do this, I was tired, hungry, and was feeling a little bit annoyed at the redbull guy incident. Instinct took over and I spun on my heels, ran at him and socked him with a sort of 2 fist punch/shove. He fell back and was stunned. I told him to f*** off and not f***ing touch me and Aaron yelled at him too. It felt nice to take a stand. I feel like women are expected to just put up with that kind of treatment here. I sure wasn't. I wouldn't put up with that at home so I won't put up with it here. That incident put a bit of a damper on the end of the night which was unfortunate but we tried to focus on the fun we had at the festival.
Dec 30: Again we had pool time and then a really great pasta and pizza dinner at our italian place before going to see Above and Beyond close out Supersonic. It was an amazing show. Very hard to dance on sand though. We were both pooped afterwards but went back to the italian place for a coffee and dessert.
Dec 31: right now we are at a restaurant with wifi. That is all.
