Made it to Cambodia and met Jons mate Hog. Hes a legend! Well funny lad, first time in Asia and it was nice to see his expressions over things like a squat toliet, and be as confused as I was several months ago. We met in Phnom Phen and spent the next few days seeing all the sights. Went to a couple of muesums and the grand palace, but the best thing, not a happy place but best as in an experience was the killing fields. Quick history lesson for ppl that dont have a clue what im on about - 30yrs ago a man called pol pot wanted to return to country to a communist state, he did this by killing all the intellectuals and there families and countless more - 1 in 5 cambodians were killed. The place we visited was called the killing fileds as this is where their remains were found in mass graves. Now in the fileds a monumnet has been constructed and all the skulls of found in the pits are kept as a reminder of the touture that occured here. After this we visited a place called S21, which was the prision were men, women, children and babies were held and toutured before they met their end at the killing fields. Here you can see the wepons of touture and the conditions they were kept in, and photos of the people who died. There are walls of mug shots of children before they died. It is a very strang place and you still see locals studying the photos to see if they can spot relatives. Very emotional and draining day, but well worth it.

After here we headed to Siem Reap, on the moring while trying to find the bus stop I got bit by a dog.......Great. Rabies Jabs for Jenny. The boys still call me rabies jen now! In siem reap we spent 2 days at the temples, have a look at the pics - they were amazing!!!! My fave was prob Bayon - the one were the trees and intwind with the temples.

We only visited two places in Cambodia so it really was a wistle stop tour, really like the country and the people were friendly, but you can tell they lost a lot of intullectuals.

Im now back in Thailand on an Island called Ko Chang. Gorgeous place will tell more in next installement.
