Early rise eat some breakfast and headed out on the fairy waving good buy to day dream Island. On the coach for another 4 ½ hours. Driving down toward our farm homestead. We learned about the sugar Cain trade and Australia's slave history, it crazy, slavery here wasn't totally wiped out till like 1918. Makes us look good. They used Pacific islanders for the Cain fields and many of them stayed which is why Australia has a large Pacific islander population. We learned what our theme night is going to be tomorrow night. Old TV and movies. I found a cute red dress that I can wear again, so I decided I'm gunna be betty boop. We go to our homestead, which was in the middle of NOWHERE. It is a cattle ranch that has operated since the 1800's and is over 2,000 acres. Huge in other wards. The land was beautiful, in spite of the face that they haven't had rain in 6 months. We are staying in a converted biplane airport.. Really cool. We went down picked out our crazy cow boy hat for the night, and hopped on the tractor to learn about the cattle ranch. The raise bromma cattle and bulls for breeding and meat. Then we went and had a home made meal of roast and veggies and potatoes and gravy, amazing and chocolate cake for dessert. We got a whip cracking demo which was crazy, this guy had like 2 whips going and they were cracking everywhere super fast. Then he said it was our turn to try the basic snake killer whip crack which is basically straight up straight down. After about 16 times of smacking myself and a few near hits I got one really good crack. I'm proud, because not everyone got a crack out of it so YAY!. Amanda and I went on the quads ride which was fun, the guy really opened it up. We were flying like 50 miles and hour it was pitch black besides the one head light and when we got out in the middle of no where he cut the light and we got an amazing view of the stars and the milky way. It was beautiful. All around the ring of the canyon there was a flickering glow on the clouds of lighting storms. It was amazing. On the ride back we saw tons of marsupials and a few dingoes and wallabies. It was really neat. Then Karaoke!! We all butchered a few songs each then called it a night. Off to bed to pack our day bag for Frasier island tomorrow. We can only bring one bag not our suite cases. So we have the next island and theme night tomorrow and the next day. 3 days 2 nights!. Love you guys try to get on again soon. Only 6 days left L
