OK so we left Thailand by bus to travel to Malaysia, over the border to a place called Penang, the driver decided to play thai karaoke at the max volume for 6 hours solid. We arrived to the backpacker district of bangkok, khao san road at nyt, and didnt leave for 4 days! there was 2 much 2 do, 2 many things to buy, foods to try and plus it was Christmas, we checked into a posh hotel (by our standards - 25 quid a nyt) and decorated a green light in our room like a xmas tree! we bought each other little presents and wrapped them in newspaper. on xmas eve, we put on our santa hats and danced in the streets outside, drinking beers and ...

....we headed strayt to the backpacker district on the lake, spent an even more horrific day at s21 the genocide prison/museum, where the walls and floors are still covered in blood after being a torture camp for years. and the killing fields where there are more bones than you could imagine. so to cheer ourselves up we had a "happy herb" pizza! thats right HAPPY HERB! which after taking a rather long time to take effect turned out to be absolutely hillarious...
