April 5th Easter Monday
Got up after a bit of a sleepless night it seems the hapless Ryan had a large hairy tarantula sat on his bed for a couple of hours last night. My thoughts were – if the lizard could get in – why not son of large hairy tarantula?? Or even Daddy!! Well I checked everywhere before going to sleep and it did appear to be a spider free zone – maybe my pet lizard ate him?
Met up with Bill and Sharon for breakfast – he has managed to rub his legs raw in several places from the seams in his jeans and is finding it quite hard to get about. Sharon thoughtlessly put a waterproof plaster on which has now added insult to injury by waxing a large rectangle of hair from his inner thigh!
Made us girls laugh anyway!!
Ryan, who remember is 15 years old, was instructed at the breakfast table on how to cut the flesh from his slice of water melon. He was also told that he should try at least two mouthfuls of the eggs in order to know what they taste like!! Julie was crowing yesterday that this young man had actually managed to walk to the little farm next door and buy a bottle of pop. Of course he wasn't allowed to drink it because he had already had his one for the week!! Went off with everyone to say goodbye to the horses and got badly mugged by the eight Boxer pups, four on each leg, teeth firmly clamped onto my jeans. They are really sweet and I hope they find good homes soon. Felt very jealous of everyone going off on the ride but I know that I wouldn’t survive the trip – so I went off and packed. Then it was off to the sunbed.
Had problems checking in last night as the system wouldn’t allow me to change my allocated seat. The insurance company told me they had asked for a window seat and I was allocated an aisle. Hope to change this later at the airport.
Oddly, everyone appears to like my photos and have copied them onto their memory sticks and computers, maybe I do have hidden talents after all. There are a couple with a blurry index finger but the rest are OK I suppose.
I had a very late lunch as the other guests stayed out for lunch and came back around 4pm. I had lunch at 2.30 with Lufthansa and Air France crew. Again they were very charming and quite good fun.
I thought I had escaped my final injection but I was trapped and stabbed before I left the ranch.
We were dropped off at the airport around 6pm, Lallo carried my bags for me so I didn’t have to lift anything. I am now sat in the Mexicana VIP lounge with a beer, waiting for my wheelchair to turn up. Hope they don’t forget me. I don’t like not understanding the language!
I have managed to change my seat and am upstairs by a window, I think with extra legroom too so I can get past the person in the aisle seat without having to step over them.
Can’t connect to the internet at the moment so don’t know if I’ll be able to send this last note.
Home tomorrow with my little cat Ollie and then hopefully I shall get to the doctor on Wednesday and make sure that I have the right medication etc.
Signing off now
Adios amigos!!
P.S.
It seems the fates were not quite finished with me. There was an earthquake in the north west of Mexico which was not felt by us at all down in San Agustin, the plates tend to run along the coast and we were up in the mountains – so oblivious to everything!!
However to continue ......
There I was in Business Class – "Good evening Mrs Frampton, would you care for some champagne?" – How damned civilised I thought and graciously accepted.. Then I was handed the menu. Fine wines and gracious living, I have finally found my niche in life!!
