Should we or shouldn't we buy a pasarelle? Almost all marinas here are stern to mooring and our plank is needed to reach the shore. Sue is not keen on walking the plank so we have been looking at pasarelles. They are much better value for money here. In the end we decided to sleep on it and decide how we feel in a few days. A quiet but pretty little town with pretty coloured houses rather like Tobermory.

Visited the Volvo , formerly Whitbread , round the world race HQ and exhibition. There were some great pictures and hands on exhibits.

Alicante has been a pleasant surprise. A lovely old quarter and a spectacular castle on the top of the hill over looking the city. It is such a great spot, the English captured the city in 1706, destroying the castle in the process.

Another windy day, we were moored stern to and the wind blew the bow away continually so we needed many warps to stop us banging the boat next to us. We spent the day in museums and boat maintenance. The salt museum was a history of the town and how they made salt from sea water in drying ponds. The nautical museum had a gunboat and a submarine that we visited.
