We were in 2nd class sleeping and had proper bunk beds, even facing the direction of travel to aid sleeping. We travelled all day by dodgey mini bus and long tail boat to the National Park, leaving Kuala Lumpur at dawn. Welcome to Singapore, a very impressive and friendly city state. We arrived at the airport and missed out on the usual uncertainty that travellers so commonly feel when they first arrive in a new place.
