Hello again hope you are all ok and your surviving in the cold haha!We are now in Melbourne our second to last stop in Australia can u believe it that i will be back home in 7 weeks its all going to fast. Our journey from Sdyney to here didnt quite go to plan in the form of torrential rain for almost three days straight. Our first stop after leaving was at Canberra Australia's capital were we looked around the Parliment House before heading of for lunch and then heading to Threadbow which is a ski resort in the winter months, we spent the evening in an actual hotel which made a nice change, we met a couple that had just got married and Dad if your reading he was the splitting imae of Phil even the way he spoke. In the morning we we meant to be climbing to the top of the highest point in Australia - Mount Kosciuszko but due to the rain and low cloud cover we couldnt see so we didnt bother. We still got the ski lift up the mountain and walked to the first look out point, which was enough exercise for me anyway. We then drove to a place called Lakes Entrance where we all went out and had fish and chips and retired for the night.Driving to Lakes Entrance involved a lot of driving though the bush on dirt tracks through villages were oly 1 person lived, it wa all very Wolf Creek stylee haha. WE even drove past a man;s house called Dave who s apprently mental and he ha made strange art work out of wood and tin foil, he also has about 50 cars around his house which we suspect to be backpackers cars that have been lef after he murdered them! We were meant to be able to go and have a walk along 90 mile beach while we were there but due to the rain we couldnt do that either. Our last day was spent driving through Wilson's Promontary which is the most southerly point of Australia, here we had bush walks planned!Surprise surprise it was raining to we didnt do that either but despite the rain the place was beautiful and you could tell it would have been amazing if the sun was shining.
We finally arrived in Melbourne monday night and checked into out hostel which ws disgusting but i was so excited as being here meant that we would get to see Livy.Since the we have managed to change rooms and have a slightly better one now although it does mean sharing with 8 boys errrr!!!!As soon as we got here I rang Livy and we ended up at her flat and and stayed the night as we mised all the trams from talking so much. Since that night we have been at Liv's every night an most days as the first few days we were here it did not stop raining, we were startng to get worried that the floods were making there way down to us, but finally yesterday afternoon we were saved and the sun came out and is still ou today yay.Me and Sarah have landed ourselfs a job, best job ever if the sun is shining as all we have to do is walk around handing out flyers for a travel agent and get paid 10 bucks an hour for it, not much money but its going to pay for our camper van hire so me Sarah and Liv can go on a road trip to Philip Island and the Great Ocean Road. We havent seen much of Melbourne yet due to the weather but next week we are going to start exploring and have a look around the city between getting out tan on as i need to be quite a bit browner by the time i come home. As of next week we get to move out of our crumy hostel and move in with Liv and the boys for a week for a fraction of the price, which ont be much different as we have been there everyday anyway.
Thats it for now but il write again after our road trip and before we head of to Perth. Love to everyone xxxx
