Singapore Day 1 (12.07.2012): Not much to blog about today only to note that we (including my conical hat) have arrived safely in Singapore. Our morning started with a trip to the post office for us to send home another box of stuff. We are now banned from any more purchases. I got rid of some clothes too but my bag doesn't seem to be any lighter. We checked out of Hanoi Guesthouse at midday and headed for the airport. Bye bye Vietnam!

Our flight with Jetstar was really comfy and everything ran on time. We touched down in Singapore at 19:15. Changi Airport is amazing. We took the MRT to Little India and checked in to the Inncrowd Hostel. The hostel is nice. We have a 8 bed dorm. It's a bit of a shock after all our hotel stays. There's a man in the bunk next to me snoring his head off. Thank heavens for my earplugs! Feel like proper backpackers again now.

We have had a quick explore of Little India involving Indian food of course. The area is great, very quirky. Singapore is very clean, modern and slick with a mixture of different Asian cultures. So different to Vietnam. It has a nice feel to it. So far everyone has been friendly. I dare say we are going to like it here :-).
