It has been a week since my last entry. But i wanted to write this because we encountered the mongols a few days ago. The mongols were a large nomadic people. But they seemed alot more friendly than tales told, even to tourists. They controlled most of the silk road and made lots of profit off of it. But they also excelled in pottery and usually raised herds and grew up shepherds. i didnt see any violence in them except in the soldiers who i once saw training. of...

We arrived in Kashgar, now in China. The storm was behind us and now i could rest. As we came upon the town, i noticed the chinese architecture immediately. it was similar to their architecture modern day, but not as advanced, although more grand. The people seemed more calm and laid back here. I think it was a fishing village

I couldn't write for a while, there was a massive sand storm. It was hard to bare. The deserts were dangerous when it came to weather. We are heading for Kashmir to find safety from the storm.

About two days later, we arrived at a medium sized town. It was rather empty though. Maybe we were early. Our stop there wasn't that long or exciting. A few merchants offered quick trades before running back in their homes. Strange...

A week later, the path followed along a shallow river. Now I know where the previous town got their water. The caravan stopped along the river to allow all the merchants to satisfy their thirsts. It was so delicious, usually I never drink water!
