We woke up at 8 to get breakfast and again we succeeded to make sandwiches!!

We checked out from hostel not long after Estelle and Graeme left to get their flight.

We planned to catch 12:34 train to Cologne but luckily we decided to check with a staff who was walking on the platform, we got told we were needed to go and get a train to Arnhem then a bus to Duisburg then a train to Cologne! So we did that route, with us almost missing the last connection train due wrong information on the boards!

As soon we came out of the Cologne train station, the famous cathedral was right next to it and it was HUGE!!!!

We checked in our room but guess what? We got a free upgrade!! Private bathroom, balcony, tv, toaster, microwave, kettle (yay!) and a fan!!
We had a fridge stocked with salami, cheese, butter, water bottles, yogurt and juice! To Jacob's delight the tv had an Eurosport channel!

We went to have a proper look at the cathedral and we were really amazed with how big it was!! The details were pretty impressive and we went inside to have a peek. The most interesting thing that Jacob thought was how high the ceiling was! Whereas I was more interested in the windows as they were beautifully coloured!

We were meant to go supermarket to get food to cook for ourselves but we walked for ages to find out they were all closed, probably because it was a Sunday and rather late! We decided to have McDonald's for our dinner and we ate outside by the cathedral! I was very disappointed as I ordered a chicken burger and was given hamburger! I hate it! So swapped with Jacob's chicken nuggets meal.

We went back the 'apartment' to chill and get ready for our next destination!
