Today we went to Stonehenge, which is fascinating especially for it’s age and masterful architecture. I agree with most scholars that it was probably used as an early calendar, as the seasons would have been very important to the people who created it.

Today I jumped from one walk to another, first, I met with the group at Tower Hill tube station to go on a Tower of London tour. The guide was clearly an experienced stage actor, which made the experience all the better. Next, the British Museum was fantastic, especially when you have a historian there telling you about the artifacts. Today we visited the Musee D'Orsay, the artwork there was fascinating, especially the statues. I think my favorite piece was the one in the picture.

I took this cooking/dinner/shopping… thing, but anyway it was really nice. First, we went through a few marketplaces, cheese store: “ This one is lethal on the metro, or in the back of your car… *shudders” and the bakery/baker’s where I found out that the baguette police are actually a thing. They take ten of your baguettes if they don’t fit the specifications for baguettes. After the bakery we went into a store that specializes in foie gras....

Just arrived in Paris, I hate airplanes around as much as I usually hate things. As much as I could not enjoy the beautiful airport, the metro system and city itself are gorgeous. I can’t get over how dramatic and massive the Notre Dame Cathedral is. Saw the Eiffel Tower… woo… it’s pretty big.
