One day was enough time to spend in Cochabamba. It's one of the biggest cities in Bolivia but as a visitor, there's not much to do. It's claim to fame is having the biggest Christ statue in South America, a tiny bit taller than the one in Rio. Having an unusual religious instinct (it was Good Friday), I decided to climb up the numerous stairs up to the top of the hill. All the Bolivians walking down the hill clearly realised how insane it was to walk up when there was a cable car also going up to the top. At least when Jesus carried the cross up the hill, it probably wasn't high altitude as well. Having my religious fix for the year, I returned to the hostel to drink Pisco Sour and watch some s*** films on the cable TV which the hostel gave my accidently. I was also able to use my water heater for the first time, which is certainly more fun than useful.
