Amazing - a river with water! The last time we travelled this road it was dry and desolate. So much greenery around at the moment with sporadic purple / white flowers.

Lovely spot. Went out to fish as soon as we'd set up and caught a calamari on first troll. We were warned that we were fishing in a sanctuary and the $400 fine that would be served if caught. Now need to travel around the point to fish. Shallow reef not to far away (boated over it) and drops of reef to deeper water. Gary will fish beyond reef with neighbour tomorrow. supposedly 200 meters deep about 6 Km's out.

Gorgeous spot - locals come and stay for 5-8 months at a time. watching whales from the beach. Saw a turtle swim by and everyone catching fish / calamari

Thea - look at the salinity problems from gross clearing for wheat- this went on for miles and miles...pretty ordinary. only saw 1 farm that had made some attempt at tree planting. reckon they have a moral responsibility to do it if the Govt won't act!!...

what a classic old pub, grown out of the 1880's gold rush
