Well today was one crazy, but beautiful day. We took the smurf mobile south through the Ring of Kerry which is a scenic loop through county Kerry. It was some of the best scenery I have seen in Ireland to date. We were blessed with awesome weather and enjoyed every minute. Kate drove for a while and it was eventful, but she did great. She wanted to drive slower so she could adventure better, I drive to fast obviously for quality adventuring, lol. Kade really liked the scenery and old castles along the way. We thought we were making good time without any problems then my old Irish friend Mr. Murphy came a calling and decided this trip had been going to smoothly and promptly gave us a flat tire. Luckily we had a place to pull over and I changed the tire, but we had a long way back to homebase and I was not comfortable driving the Irish roads with a donut tire. So we found a guy who gave us a new tire and put us back on the road. Of course my budget a 150 Euros lighter, but better than the alternative. We finally got some grub in the really cool village of Killarney. If I make it back I will definately make a point to visit and explore it better. We just got back to homebase at midnight. Tomorrow we head to kades favorite destination the Blarney Castle and then on to Waterford where we are staying tomorrow night. Three more days in Ireland then off to Rome. Will blog again tomorrow.
