There wasn't any place to stop when we left Galveston. Stingerees & Steve's Landing were both destroyed by Ike. This was supposed to be an OK anchorage by High Island Bridge. It looked good, but when we tried to get in, it was only three feet deep! We didn't have any choice but to just plant the nose of Zephia into the mud and put out two anchors towards land to keep us from drifting out into the ICW. Huge barges went along side of us all night long! Pretty scary...
