My turn to steer
We left the fuel dock in Kemah at noon on Friday. We passed the Galveston jetty at 3:30 and entered the Gulf. We were passing Freeport at 1:30 in the morning. We got to the Matagorda ship channel jetties at 11:00 that morning. We were in the Palacios marina around 3:30 in the afternoon. There was no moon at night, so we could just see the lights on the coast and the lights on the oil rigs. We sailed 3-7 miles offshore. We had perfect weather with small swells, 2-5'. Sailing overnight is a quite a lot of work, we were really tired.
