Our last stop in Japan was Osaka, we got the bullet train back from Hiroshima, we found a really nice place to stay called mystays - which was the same price as a hostel. It was an amazing room with memory foam pillows and a bathtub which we were amazed with on our budget. As we had arrived quite late we just went out to get some dinner which was amazingly yumbo sesame pork udon with of course gyoza! As the bath tub was such a novelty we bought some beers and sat in it for ages!
Our last proper day in Japan we just went and looked around the crazy shopping area - it was rammed and there was every sort of shop you could imagine, we went in one called Tokyu hands and they had loads of anti wrinkle devices like an adult dummy you put in at night to stop mouth wrinkles! As it got darker we headed to an area called Dotonbori which had crazy massive neon signs flashing away and was so noisy from all the shops and eateries. Our final meal in Japan was a bit rank, we ordered some gyozas which were ok but we ordered some beef and veggies to pick at - unfortunately we are not sure what bit of cow we ate - I'm sure it was tongue, it had a taste that we were not familiar with!!!
We were so sad to be leaving Japan, it was so easy to travel round and it felt mega safe even at night. Just a few things going to miss the most....artificial bird noises at train stations, trains arriving and departing on time, piped soothing music on random streets, a drinks vending machine every few steps, everyone bowing at you and eachother - from the ticket collector on the train to the shop assistant in 7 11, cheerful staff in restuarants where even the cook says hello, artificial plastic food in restaraunt windows, heated toilet seats, nearly every man in business suits, unusual but cool fashion sense, people with megaphones out the front of their shops trying to entice you in ............
