Hi there
We have enjoyed catching up on your news and photographs of Cuba. Thanks for the post card from Havana which arrived today. I would also be very interested in Ian's essay on Cuba. It will be interesting to compare with our experiences in the DDR and what was Czechoslovakia back in 1987/8/90. We look forward to your next news update
Love to you both, Roger and Molly.
Ross
Keep those blogs coming & looking forward to Ian's "Hasta la victoria" essay on your return!

HI there,
Just got home and had to dig the drive out before we could get the car in. A really big bank of snow!!!!
Toooo! much of a good thing now. I Know you think you are missing the best winter ever but believe me its getting a bit tedious I'd love to be swimming with the sun.
Love Mum

Hi Suzy and Ian,
So sorry you missed Evelyn and Peter. I knew they were going home near the end of february. I should have tried to find the date to let you know. Hope it was not toooooo far out of your way. They would have been thrilled to have Scottish relatives looking them up. Your pictures and time swimming with turtles looked wonderful. Winter refuses to leave here and we are getting snow again. Would love to be where you are. Enjoy the next country and keep safe.
love Janet and Norman

Hi Ian and Suzy.
We continue to follow your adventures with great interest. What you are doing is truly amazing and we agree with your Dad, Suzy. You both deserve a huge hug! We are still stuck with rain, cold winds, and snow although the latter is now becoming less frequent thank goodness. Our family are all OK. Eleanor & Simon will be coming up from Eastbourne in a few weeks for a weekend, and Alison, Steve and family are just back from a successful visit to Disneyland Paris. All our love Roger and Molly. xx

Hi you too,
Am sitting here with a stinking cold, listening to the wind and snow (again) howling round the house wrapped up in 3 jumpers and Chris's big socks, feeling really jealous. Looks like you are having a brilliant time. Sorry we didnt message before and say HNY etc but I am a complete technophobe and didnt realise I could!!
The trip looks fantastic but have avoided piccies of crawly things.
Have a great time.

Home again, boo! But hurray for hot showers (I've had 3 in 12 hours), duvets and cleaness. Just read your blog to catch up with what you have been up to. What is it with Guatemala and caves? I've chickened out of several. If there is one thing I won't do it is darkness and water combined. Maddy said I was probably right not to do the one in Semuc Champey. She came out looking rather dubious. Have to agree with your pronoucement on Coban, glad we didn't stop. I take it you are now on your way to Tikal. In the words of our American friends it is AWESOME. Had a cool time travelling with Maddy and sad to see her go. She is now being stalked by Winfried. I missed you all lots when you left, but was adopted by Alex and co and now have a whole new group of people to miss. What a fabulous trip, I'm sure I'm going to have withdrawal symptons in the next few days as I come down from the high of Guatemala life. Lots of love Kate xxx

Hi Suzy and Ian. Am sitting looking out over the Clyde, reading your blog and looking at the fabulous photos. Flew up this a.m. and staying with H & G for 3 nights. What a beautiful area - saw 2 porpoises and a seal as we came over on the ferry. Sun shining and notr too too cold. Mind you, we'd love to be going to Oz with James next Thursday.
Well done seizing the opportunity. Kinda thing I'd like to do but maybe on a different continent!
Take care and enjoy the rest of the trip. Love K & J (and Mum and Dad xx)
Suzy's Dad
Well done Suzy and Ian. Whatever doubts I had and they were very few, have vanished. You both deserved massive hugs and kisses. Don't worry Ian not me Suzy's mum will give them to you.
Sounds corny but you'll both have grown and changed. What an experience. Very jealous of both of you. Recover from the malnutrition. relax and then enjoy the rest of the trip. Suzy you may have to live with those freckles for ever you know. never mind Ian still loves you.
