How you doin'? Sorry I haven't been in touch, no excuses I'm just f***ing useless at this kind of thing. Just been looking at your photo's, it looks so cool. It's been a time of major upheaval in the land of BBH in that I have finally fled the nest and moved in with Matt Rogers! (and others).
Now I know this website exists i will make a conscious effort to stay in touch.
Speak to you soon
Bill
P.S Claire, you is looking well hot!
P.P.S. Ben says that Ian looks well buff as well. x

Hi Everyone
Hi to Ben, Dews and Dean and of course to Faye, Mel and fabulous news about Lynne, we've been crossing our fingers for you. We sent loads of mails to Bens email, not sure why you didnt get them so we sent the postcard after looking you up online. Cool we're in contact again.
WestbyMum&Dad Well done, glad you enjoyed it, pretty amazing experience, we never made Wanya Picchu because my knee had collapsed on the downhill bit.
Sarah, yep got your mail, will reply
We've just come back from 4 days at sea on an amazing dive trip, it wasnt the plush catamaran most people go on so pretty rough, Ian discovered sea sickness along with many of the others, but we didnt go for the boat. We went to Holmes reef in the coral sea, its past the barrier reef, 16hrs out so amazing life (turtles, sharks, thousands of species of fish) untouched with only our boat in view. We also did a shark feed dive, pretty amazing having 25-30 sharks swimming through us and fighting for food as we just sat on the bottom in awe. 10 dives so we're shattered. Loved it though. Unfortunately we've just discovered something gutting. Half the money(800quid) we got for delia didnt get transfeerred into my account (I must have put in the wrong details), and no I didnt get any details from them, also the police report from the camera theft never made it to the insurers so we loose 500quid claim. Either we come back with big debt or we come back a lot sooner, suppose it depends on whether this is a once in a lifetime trip or not, not to worry, we'll just have to enjoy what we can, already not going to Japan, would be a real shame to loose india too. Anyway on a good note, having a great time, picking up our camper tomorrow which we're hiring for 30 days to get us to Sydney (Gezza see you there we'll probably be around the same time and yes we'll be heading down to Melbourne). Off to see some outback etc.
Take Care Everyone, thankyou for the messages as always.

Well guess what we did it! 45km of Macchu Picchu and we stayed out at the front of our group of 15 most of the time - the 22 porters were of course always ahead - my Colca Canyon leg miraculously cured itself. What an incredible experience -we just missed the sunrise at the sun gate but MP appeared 5 mins later - fantastic SAS organisation - eating all the food was more difficult than the walk - extarordinary colloection of people in the group but good fun. Dad.
Thanks v much for the recommendation for SAS - the guides were birliiant Jose and Mario! It was really a wonderful experience. A young guy - another mARIO EVEN MADE US walk up Wayna pichu to finish us off! Only the 2 youngest and the 2 oldest made it up there but what a view.
SAD to leave Cusco. It´s been fabulous.
Your NZ photos fab AND u look os happy. INCREDIBLE about Delia! Oz here u go and ENJOY it!

Well, well, well... been talking about you pair for the last few months wondering where the hell you are. Suddenly a postcard arrives - superb!!! Lost your email a long time ago and was wondering how to get in touch.
The move is still sort of in process. We're living at Ma and Pa's but hope to be in soon - decorating etc...
Dean and Faye have a new house too!
Dews and Mel are off to New York in a few weeks - why don't you meet em there????
When are you back by the way?
The other bit of news is that Lynne is 20 weeks pregnant! Been for a couple of scans and all looks well! If you want to know the gender of the baby you'll have to request by email!!
We'll be in touch again when we have more time. Dean is currently sanding down a ceiling, and me and Dews are supposed to be helping... but we just had to respond to the postcard!
Take care both and keep enjoying the adventure...

Hi, pleased you have made it to OZ at last but don't expect any sympathy about the weather! Here in UK it's slowly getting colder and they had snow in the north recently. Your photos of NZ looked amazing especially the last set, reminds me of the hot pools and mud fields in Yellowstone Park USA (but the americans luckily don't go in for grass skirts). We're happy that Delia made a profit for you but sorry that you may have transport problems in OZ. Sitting on the beach to mull over the problem seems a nice way to spend your time. We're in London at the weekend with Tina, Ant and Cara (of course) and the plan is for us to babysit while Ant and Tina have a brief escape. Wish us luck as Cara will set the agenda I'm sure as to what we do and how much sleep we get! We may have to take her shopping to keep her amused! love mom xxx

G'Day (With an Ozzy Accent)
We're in Cairns now after a long day yesterday, via brissy where we met up with Ste and Zarena which was cool.
Its very hot and humid so sitting in an internet cafe is kind of nice. We're torn about what to do with transport,we are at totally the wrong time of year to buy, everyones moving south so its going to be really hard to sell anything down south and theres hardly anything here, and its hot so camping isnt exactly appearing but funds are tight, and the whole rego, tax, MOT thing is sooooo confusing. Thinking that the bus might be a better option, do some proper backpacking for a change!
We may go and sit by the town's lagoon beach thing and think about it.
Hope you're all well
Claire & Ian

Ps. Good luck Mum & Dad I hope seing the sun rise over Machu Picchu is as moving and spectacular as it was for us.

Hello everyone
Well just a quickie to say Bye Bye Delia, she did us proud and we sold her for $1600 more than we bought her so it covers the repairs and means three months in Oz might well be possible after all!
Also Bye Bye NewZealand, we fly to Brisbane early tomorrow morning
Ste, we'll check the flight times and hopefully get to see you tomorrow
Better go and pack

G'day Guys, just to let you know that we will be in Brisey on Monday morning/afternoon if you can make it to the city center at some point, as i have an interview with an employment agency at 1pm. If you are planning on hanging around the airport until you fly to Cairns, thats ok (as the CBD is a few kms from the airport!) Otherwise, we can meet up as you pass through later on, by which time we will be living on the Gold Coast. We move on 1st Dec. to Surfers Paradise (we are flat sharing!). I'm currently looking for work there, and it will be so much better to be living by the beach!!! My mob number is 0407508204 if you decide to come into the city on Monday. Hopefully we'll catch up soon. Steve & Zarina

Hi Nic, great to hear from you, looking forward to the mail and the gossipx
Thanks for the message abi, I could just picture you when you wrote it xxx
WestbyMum&Dad well done, we said it was harder than the inca trail, it nearly killed me, I tore a muscle in my leg and cried for the last hour of it, did you not remember that bit? it was worth it for the fabulous rest of it, did you see the condors? Very excited for you for the inca trail, you'll love it. Whats the weather like? read our cusco journals and our advice to you, the walk between the four inca ruins is great, get the boleto touristico from the iperu official office (NOT A TOURISM TOUT) and ask them where to get the bus to the end one and walk back. Go to pisac market. Have fun saying 'no gracias' to the girls trying to get you into their restaurants 24hrs a day. Have a Gordo's breakfast at Jack's cafe just down from your hotel and get an alpaca steak at the bagdad cafe(around 8pm to see the band) and have pisco sours on the balcony. Remember how high it is so take it easy, just walking to your hotel and up to the 'arty' bit can be shattering. Oh we're all excited for you, we're meeting up with Claire & Ross who did the colca trip with us when we get to melbourne.
We're changing our trip, instead of flying from melbourne to japan, hkong, delhi, london we have removed japan, and are now flying from melbourne to perth, then hkong, mumbai, delhi, paris and ditching the london bit as we are going to be in france for the wedding.
Roturua has been great, this place is amazing, hot springs everywhere, parks, gardens, we even had our own erruption at the motel and at 5am Ian rushed out to move our van and Doug and Janes car before they were sitting in bubbling mud. We've been sitting in hot spars and walking through amazing thermal areas and we went to a Maouri show at a village, where just like in Fiji Ian was the chief(think he needs to be taken down a peg or two) it was great fun. We've just said goodbye to the rellies which is sad, we're off to auckland to sell delia and meet up with friends then we fly to brisbane on monday (we'll be waiting for the news mum and dad). Joyce your jobs sounding really good, we're really happy for you.
Anyway better go
take care everyone
Claire & Ian
