Max's european journey
The past few days I was thinking about my trip to Europe. I am going to the Czech Republic first. Then I am going to Norway, Romania, Ireland and Italy. In my room you can't see the floor because of all the clothes I have for my trip to Europe. I made a list of things to bring. Here is the list with some tips:
- 7 shirts (one should be long sleeved)
- 2 sweaters/fleece (make sure fleece or sweater is a dark color to hide stains)
- 4 pants ( 1 pair or more should have zip off legs if you get hot)
- 3 shorts (deep pockets that close with buttons)
- 1 swim suit (can be back up shorts)
- 6 underwear (100% cotton)
- 6 pairs of socks (100% wool or cotton)
- 2 pjs (make sure they are warm)
- 5 pairs of shoes: sneakers, snow boots, flip flops, toe shoes and slippers (pack shoes in plastic bags from your super market so your clothes won't get dirty)
- 3 jackets (rain jacket, winter coat and a sports coat for those fancy dinners)
- 2 ties (make sure tie isn't to goofy)
- 1 money belt (to hide valuables)
- $250 in cash (bring some Euros)
- 1 pre-paid debit card (don't have to bring lots of money)
- passport (make sure passport isn't expired)
- U.S. Embassy addresses for all countries
- list of places to stay (hotels and hostels)
- Camelback day pack (make sure there is no water in the back pack at the airport)
- camera
- phone (make sure your phone has coverage in Europe)
- ipad
- computer
- chargers (don't forget them)
- ipod (to entertain yourself)
- plug adapters (each country has different plug shapes)
- 1 set of batteries (bring AA and AAA)
- watch (make sure watch has an alarm)
- ear plugs (if your hotel is on a noisy street)
- toiletries (bring shampoo, soap, brush, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodarant, band aids, Ricola and Advil)
- sunglasses
- sunscreen
- aloe
- empty baggies
- maps (in case you don't know were you are)
- update contacts before you leave
- Swiss army knife (make sure you put the knife in a checked bag)
- spot remover
- hostel sheet (nasty beds)
- inflatable pillow
- tiny lock (you might need this in a locker room if you exercise)
- small flashlight
- duct tape
- a good book
- poncho
- 4 hats (one warm hat)
- copy of this list (so I don't leave any thing at the hotel)
- a super big suitcase
Now you know why I can't see my floor!
