We flew to Alice Springs and went on a three day tour to Uluru. This was our trip into the outback, complete with about a million flies - we definitely regretted not getting one of the flattering fly nets within about a minute of getting there! On the 31st March we flew from Durban to Jo'burg for the weekend. We got to our hostel and then went to the biggest shopping centre in Africa to get some things sorted. That evening, Jaks friend picked us up and we went for dinner at an Ethiopian restaurant with some of his friends. I think we'd both describe the experience as interesting. In our rush to leave Durban we decided to hire a car and drive up to Southern Drakensberg. We went on our roadtrip in the "Chico Mobile" and got to Drakensberg around midday. We'd organised to go horse trekking through Drakensberg, which we never regretted once, did we Jak?! I flew into Australia from Jo'burg and waited a few hours before I met Jenny at the airport. We only had two days in Sydney so it was a matter of packing things in.... We woke up early and walked to the Opera House and Bridge. We ventured across the bridge and up one of the pylons to get a better view of Sydney.
