Ok, we've actually been here a month and are back in Melbourne following 4 weeks of touring around, but I didn't blog on the road, so I'm going to write up our travel journal and post photos day by day. So, back on April 4th we got on a plane in Portland and went to Melbourne.... via San Francisco and Sydney for added fun. Henry and Owen had fun on the plane and were not too crazy. I like to tell myself that Owen's random screams when he woke up during the flight were muffled by the engine noise. Hmm, the frown on our neighbor's face suggested maybe not. Oh well.

The guys had unbelievable energy, running around like maniacs whenever we landed somewhere. They particularly loved the giant crocodile photo - life size biggest croc ever caught - in Sydney. By the time we got to our Melbourne hotel some 24 hours after leaving Portland, they were running out of oomph. But they had enough left to go cuckoo for the hotel room. Cable TV! Multiple children's channels! Henry spent the next week asking 'when are we going back to our hotel'?

Our hotel was on Swanston St in downtown Melbourne, right near Chinatown and we managed to drag ourselves out to our old favorite Chinese BBQ restaurant for lunch/dinner/breakfast whatever meal it was given our messed up body clocks. Roast duck and pork is good for any meal right? Yum.

All in bed by 7pm after a scrappy dinner of meat pies from what even I will admit was a very ordinary pie shop.
