After an early breakfast, we set out for our 12 hour Cultural marathon! En route to the Elephant Orphanage, stops were made at a Silk shop and a Spice Garden. Lunch was enjoyed overlooking the river where the elephants were bathing before we went to watch a traditional Dance show. The final visit of the day was to the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy. We are looking forward to matches tomorrow and will keep you posted on the results!

A lazy and civilised morning around the pool in the tropical rain meant that the teams were well rested and prepared for the first round of matches. The girls played first against an U18 team from Kandy High School. We won 4-0 with goals from Matilda Lamberts (2), Rosie Brammer and Rachel Johnson. It was a fantastic squad performance with players adjusting to different positions because of regular rolling subs. The boys faced a challenging opening match again...

Safely arrived at the Cinnamon hotel in Kandy after a long journey and we've just heard that Andy Murray has won. Hopefully the boys and girls can match the great British sporting achievements of this weekend in their first matches tomorrow. Tour party all off for an early night.
