The Bullring!!! Some of Spain's best bull fighting with the best Matadors is held in this arena. The Matadors can fight up to 3 bulls in one event and can earn up to 150,000 Euros. Each fighter has a team of assistants in the battle... The bull really has no chance in the fight as far as we are concerned!!! There is a chapel where the Matadors pray before going out into the ring! ...

The "Museo Taurino" or Bull Fighting Museum was interesting. In a guided tour we learned of the history and culture involved in this exhibition. The Matadors are judged and given points for their bravery and skill. A bullfight is not something that we wanted to see, but to come to Spain and not learn about it is missing a part of their history and culture.

Arcos De La Frontera...what a photographer's treat!!! This photo was taken from the patio of a Parador. They are historic buildings that have been restored and made into small hotels. This gives guests a unique experience and helps in the cost of maintenance. You are allowed to enter paradors even if you are not staying there...their lobbys are open to the public! Arcos with it's narrow and steep cobblestone streets, white washed houses and finely crafted wrough...

This is a view of Morocco from Spain. It is less than an hour ferry ride from Spain but we travelled further culturally than we did on our trip from North America! Today was a visit to an incredible Country...Gibraltar! It's a little piece of Britain at the bottom of Spain.
