We have settled in at San Remo Family Park, very nice right in the centre of town walking distance to shops and water front. After lunch we went for a drive to Ocean and beach looking out to Bass Straight. Lovely day a breeze starting up in the afternoon. Having BQ Steak tonight.

We set off for Inverloch, had morning tea at Yarram, went through Toora which looked an idyllic place with green field cows and views to the ocean. The weather was overcast and raining but had cleared by the time we arrived at Inverloch. We are at the RACV Inverloch Resort. Went for a walk this morning across the bridge to the surf . Lots of black Swans on the lake side. Ted got his fresh prawns for lunch. After lunch we went for a cruise of the lakes, very relaxing weather beautiful. Lots of very expensive looking boats and a lot of activity on the water. We saw some seals sunning themselves on the rocks.

We had an early start today going to Bombala to see if we could see any platypus, no platypus but a very pretty spot. Lots of fog on our way to Bombala. We stopped at Orbost for lunch arriving at Lakes Entrance about 3pm, after setting up we set off for the shops which are in walking distance from Silver Sands Tourist Park where we are staying.

We went for a drive to Charlotte Pass and Perisher Valley. Saw snow gums, they are a lot different to what I thought, only a small tree with lovely patterns on their trunks and shape. Saw Mt Kosciuszko in the distance about 10k away with walking trails from Charlotte Pass. Also found out the story about all the dead trees, bush fires in 2003. This afternoon we went to the Trout Farm so Ted could get his smoked Trout for afternoon tea.
