Today we went on a day tour to Kanchanaburi from Bangkok famous for its proximity to the bridge over the River Kwai. Our first stop was at the war cemetery where 7,000 Allied serviceman are buried,most of whom died as prisoners of war whilst they built the burma railway.Our next stop was at the JEATH war museum,this was very educating as there is a reconstruction of a prisoner of war camp and other war memorabilia. Well Hello all In Penang Now well georgetown its very different than we expected, its very old and traditional where we are staying but its nice.
