Our 3 Day South West Tour
Day 1
As we depart Early From Perth Again We head south down the coast Via Mandurah And the Daweville Cut, a man made canal between the Indian Ocean and the Peel inlet. Our first stop is at the Dolphin discovery centre on Koombana Bay In Bunbury, we dont get to see any dolphins today as the weather is too stormy but we enjoy a look around the centre learning about these wonderful creatures. We then leave heading further south down through the Ludlow Tuart Forest, The largest remaining Tuart forest In The world, Before stopping at our next destination The Busselton Jetty. Here we Look at the Historic Jetty And take in the views of Geographe Bay, The Jetty was closed today as the weather is very wet with strong winds. the sea crashing up over the rocks and the jetty. We head back on the bus for our next stop Lunch at yallingup and a look at the ngilgi caves. We take a guided tour into the Magnificent caves and its a ot warmer down there than up top. After our tour we head to a short stop at Canal Rocks Heading south along Caves Road Where we get the chance to stop and sample some of the many Wines produced in this area at one of the many wineries that have put Margaret River On The Map. The wine tasting is good ranging form a white to red to a very nice Port To warm Up the Auld Cockles!! LOL Our next stop after this is the Surf Break At Margaret River itself a very rough day for exploring but very Nice to see. The town itself is very small and this is our last stop for the Evening to get Supplies. As we make our way to our accomodation Im Pemberton.
Day 2
An Early rise again today as we head to check out the sight and sounds of the south west. After breakfast we head further south through the Karri Forest to the Challenge of the 60 Meter plus Climb to the top of the Bicentennial Tree. But as it was raining this was not Possible. The Tree is the Highest Tree top Lookout in the world. We then depart for our next challenge to the Valley of The Giants and The Tree Top Walk. Here we take a walk Through the Canopy Of the ancient Tingle Forest, 40 meters above the forest floor. Then we stroll along to have a look at the ancient forest from the ground and the magnificent trees and how they have been carved. We all pile back onto the bus and head to William Bay National Park. We look at the large Rock Formations Of The Elephant Rocks and Take a look at the Beautiful Greens Pool. As the rainfalls we all then head back to the bus for a short ride to Denmark For a short break and Lunch Before checking out the South's natural Coastal Phenomena The Blow Holes, The Natural Bridge And the Inspiring The Gap. Braving the weather we all run to see these sights well worth getting wet over before the sun starts to set on what has been a busy day. We retire to our over night stop in albany for a bite to eat and a warm Shower and dry Clothes!
Day 3
Our Last day so we head up early ish to the top of Mount Clarence for the spectacular Views Of The King george Sound, The outer islands and the Albany Township. From Here we stop at the Middleton Beach for a short stroll and walk the Heritage Boardwalk. Mid Morning we start our last leg of the Journey heading north before stopping to climb Castle rock in the Porongurup Ranges a nice place lisa heads up with a few other but as the wind is strong they only make it half way before decending back down we then head to take in the views of the stirling ranges and have Lunch before Heading back to Perth Via the Grown ups Play ground a giant park for adults to play on! Making our way back through the country side back to the bustling City Of Perth for our Flight To Brisbane.
