Would you believe it! 17 days until we'll be back in the UK!
Feels completely surreal. :-/
It feels like no time has passed, and yet it feels like it's been ages since we left.
We're in Hue now, further down the coast of Vietnam.
We bought a bus pass that allows us to go down Vietnam to Ho Chi Minh City, with 6 stops along the way.
We took an overnight sleeper bus to Hue, which left Hanoi last night at 6pm and arrived in Hue this morning at around 9am.
It was by far the most unusual bus I've ever been on in my life (Yes, this includes the "Happy Bus" in Nimbin, Australia :-P)
The bus had...bunk beds on it. Yes, bunk beds.
Usually an overnight bus would have reclining chairs on, and they may provide you with a blanket if their feeling particularly generous!
But not this one...this one had bunk beds on it, which all looked like reclining chairs that lie horizontal (you can sit them up if you want!) surrounded by the framing (complete with ladder) you'd find on a bunk bed! There was a also a complimentary bottle of water...lol.Score.
Luke and I settled on top bunks next to each other, right in front of flat tv screen.
They turned all the lights out really early... there goes my reading! I've just started "The Lovely Bones" after seeing the film and loving it, wanted to read the book. They put on mission impossible which had an asian voiceover on it, and English subtitles...Point in that??! Just put Asian subtitles on rather than having a mash up of Tom Cruise's voice and some Asian dudes and then we have to read the subtitles! More hassle than it's worth!
So we found our hotel around 9.30 am, checked in, slept for a bit (there's only so much sleep you can get on a bed you feel like you're going to fall out of) and went out to explore Hue.
So far, there's been a storm so we didn't get to see a great deal of it...but we had a walk around and found some cool places to eat, drink and are going to go out and look around the Perfume River tomorrow.
We were walking back to our hotel earlier and some kids came over to us, they must have been about 14...two girls and a boy, and asked if they could have their photo taken with us. lol... bit strange, we're in their country and they want a photo with US? Not sure what that was all about... but we got a photo with them in return!
We're going to a bar to watch the Euro final tonight, which is on at 1.45am... damn time differences!
We'll update soon with more stories of Vietnam... when we have them! ;-)
Until then... see you all in 17 days! :-O xxx

Checkie Hi both! Been catching up on your blog all evening, been a fab read, love all your random stories & can just imagine some of the stuff you've seen & experienced as we had a little taster in Thailand, especially the scams & shocking transport! No such thing as health & safety in Asia! But good fun all the same! ;-) Enjoy your last 2 weeks (!?) it's mad as it seems as though you've only been gone a short while but it's been over 7 months! Looking forward to having you back safe & sound. First stop M4 services for maccy d's? As I know how much you've missed your big macs ;-p lol you probably tucking into one now ! Stay safe. Lots of love, Check xxx
Gabriel Thanks for your great tutorials. Instead of epdreopying and all that to select the leaves, you could simply select the red postbox with the magic wand tool and then right click and click select inverse. That's the method that seem easiest to me, but it probably depends on how you work Once again, thanks Gavin!
